Michael Amiri brings nearly two decades of expertise and leadership to Amirix Imaging as its President. His journey in the imaging industry began in 2006 at 21 years old, selling consumables and x-ray film across the world. Driven by a passion for innovation and cost-saving solutions, Michael launched UMAC in 2009, where he provided expert consulting to imaging centers, helping them optimize their operations through advanced technologies.
In 2021, Michael honed his focus exclusively on mammography, founding Mammo.com, a company that has since become a trailblazer in the secondary market. Under his guidance, Mammo.com has established itself as a trusted name, providing reconditioned Hologic Mammography Systems, spare parts, and service agreements to healthcare providers across the country and around the globe.
Michael's vision, entrepreneurial spirit, and unwavering commitment to improving healthcare access have been the cornerstone of his success. Lars Aagaard – VP and Head of Operations
As the son of tube pioneer Peer Aagaard, Lars Aagaard continues the family legacy as a second-generation tube loader with a forward-thinking approach and an unwavering commitment to quality assurance and testing excellence. With a passion for innovation and a deep understanding of the imaging industry, Lars has become a driving force in advancing diagnostic imaging solutions.
In 2019, Lars founded ShopMedParts, revolutionizing the medical imaging parts market by introducing an Amazon-style website featuring live inventory. His platform provided healthcare providers with easy access to parts, streamlining procurement and improving operational efficiency across the industry.
Lars is renowned for his expertise in reloading Siemens CT tubes and consistently expands his portfolio by developing solutions for other OEM CT tubes. His meticulous attention to high testing standards ensures that every product meets the rigorous demands of the diagnostic imaging field, positioning Amirix Imaging as a leader in quality and reliability.
As VP and Head of Operations at Amirix Imaging, Lars combines his entrepreneurial spirit, dedication to innovation, and hands-on expertise to oversee the company's daily operations. Peer Aagaard – CTO (Chief Tube-ologist)
With over 40 years of unparalleled experience in the imaging industry, Peer Aagaard serves as the Chief Tube-ologist (CTO) of Amirix Imaging. Peer's journey in electronics began in Denmark in 1969 when, as the son of a blacksmith, he developed a fascination for tools and craftsmanship while watching his father work. That same year, after watching the moon landing on their black-and-white TV, the television stopped working, inspiring Peer to take on his first repair project. Through library research, he acquired the necessary tools and components to fix the TV, igniting his lifelong passion for electronics.
As a teenager, Peer rode his bike around town, salvaging discarded TVs. Convincing his uncle to let him work on them as part of his business, Peer honed his repair skills and developed a knack for innovation. In 1980, Peer moved to the United States, where he leveraged his TV repair background into a role at CES Imaging Products in 1982. There, he worked on imaging intensifiers, modifying housings to fit other OEMs and helping expand the company's footprint.
In the mid-1980s, Peer founded West Coast Imaging, pioneering the imaging intensifier retrofitting industry. His first tube load was the renowned Spanish Crisa Diagnostic X-ray tube, which set the stage for his reputation in the industry. Over the years, Peer forged relationships with leading manufacturers such as Toshiba, Eureka, Shimadzu, Dunlee, and Varian. West Coast Imaging eventually merged with North American Imaging, where Peer served as Director of Engineering.
North American Imaging was sold to DC Diagnostic Care in 1998, but Peer's passion for innovation didn't stop there. In 2003, he founded 5 Star Imaging in Odessa, Florida, alongside his brother Paul Aagaard and wife Vanessa Aagaard. The company quickly became a leader in the industry before being acquired by PartsSource in 2009.
In 2019, Peer joined his son's company, ShopMedParts, where they worked together on innovative solutions in medical imaging. Today, as CTO of Amirix Imaging, Peer oversees all testing procedures and quality assurance measures, ensuring every product meets the highest standards of performance and reliability before hitting the market.
Peer's unparalleled expertise, passion for innovation, and meticulous attention to detail have solidified his reputation as a cornerstone of the imaging industry. George Ashie – Chief Compliance Officer
George Ashie brings over 15 years of expertise in compliance and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to his role as Chief Compliance Officer at Amirix Imaging. With a career spanning manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices, George has developed a deep understanding of quality standards and regulatory requirements critical to delivering trusted and reliable products.
At Amirix, George oversees the company's Quality Management System, ensuring that all processes not only meet but exceed the highest industry standards. Paul Aagaard – Tooling and Design
Paul Aagaard brings a lifetime of hands-on expertise and a passion for precision craftsmanship to his role in Tooling and Design at Amirix Imaging. His journey began in 1983 with an apprenticeship at Mafer Designs in Southern California, where he built injection molds for industry leaders such as Canon, Viking, and Data Control. Paul's apprenticeship led him to work at a company that was at the forefront of the controlled data industry, honing his skills and establishing a reputation for excellence.
From a young age, Paul's love for building—whether it was with Legos or motorcycles—fueled his career path. At Amirix Imaging, he channels this passion into creating the specialized tooling and designs necessary to bring innovative products to life. His expertise ensures that Amirix's housings and tools are meticulously crafted to support the company's high standards of performance and reliability.

With a career that includes key roles at companies like Alpine Solutions, Numeritronix, and ESL, Lisa has honed her skills in electronics and testing, making her a vital part of the Amirix team.
At Amirix Imaging, Lisa is responsible for ensuring that every tube meets rigorous ISO standards and aligns with the Quality Management System (QMS) in place. Her meticulous approach to testing guarantees that each product is of the highest quality and reliability before it reaches the market.
